BRUTE IS PAUL KUEPPERS’ NEW TRIO WITH SOFIA EFTYCHIDOU ON THE BASS AND JAKOB GOERRIS ON THE SLAGZEUG. Kueppers’ specially project-related written music is architectural, energetic, dynamic and influenced by traditions of African American music, electronic music of Russian modernism and post-romanticism.

On another level, she deals with introspective topics such as the ups and downs of postmodern life, psychological phenomena, and personal healing.

Complemented by the modern and explosive percussion playing of JAKOB GOERRIS and the emotionally invested bass work of SOFIA EFTYCHIDOU, the trio creates a constantly transforming three-dimensional soundscape in its conscious and respectful working method, which allows the band free and natural improvisational interplay and is open to immersion by ALL HÖRER:INNEN.
