Bosque Mágico - second edition | A project by Weimar world musician Ralf Siedhoff
Ralf Siedhoff (Germany) - Guitar Jyotsna Srikanth (India) - Violin Anne Kaftan (Germany) - Saxophon, Bass Clarinet Karthik Mani (India) - Percussion
After six successful years, one album and hundreds of concerts in Germany, India, Chad, Mauritania, Holland, Spain and Switzerland
The project around the Weimar world musician Ralf Siedhoff opens up for new influences.
Ralf Siedhoff sees the project from the beginning as an institution for the fusion of different musical influences and is open to guests at all times.
Thus, Bosque Mágico will play the next concerts with the Indian violinist Jyotsna Srikanth, the saxophonist Anne Kaftan and the Indian percussionist Karthik Mani.
Classical Indian music, flamenco music and pop and jazz inspire the compositions of Ralf Siedhoff. The musicians have enough space to bring their uniqueness and thus create a rarely heard sound cosmos.
If you listen to the intense music, the spatial distances, the differences of languages and cultures do not matter. Or better still, out of the differences and the emerging energies, the musicians form a special sound cosmos for which you will hardly find a Schublande stylistically.
To be admired here is the imagination of the guitarists and composers Ralf Siedhoff, who here realizes music of plentiful beauty and love of life, associative sounds and creative sound worlds.
- Andreas Schulz - Acoustic Guitar
Influences of Indian classical, flamenco and classical music blend into the duo’s new original compositions with sometimes jazzy improvisations. A new sound cosmos is emerging, and they partly manage to build a magic that overrides time.
