cocotá

Vocalist Fama M’Boup and guitarist Christian Stoltz combine their eccentric love for Senegalese synth pop of the 80s, modern jazz influences and their own compositions in extraordinary musicality. They merge into a unique fusion with recognition value. cocotá develop their own sound universe on stage, which sounds like traditional West African echoes and at the same time seeks modern ways to describe human encounters in the most poetic, bouncing and intimate way.

cocotá thus create a soundscape that is an echo of interpersonal encounters. The guitar completes the last sentence sung, the voice accompanies the solos and the conversation meanders between absolute lightness in dynamic high-altitude flights and flat thoughtfulness. After much research and refinement, condensing the sounds and concretizing the essence of her music, cocotá are now releasing their first EP "silent invasion". The debut EP embodies her artistic development and shows her inexhaustible creativity.

The music of cocotá is a tribute to the past, while at the same time they explore new paths of their musical world. In five songs, they lead through very different moods, through the tension fields in the music for two and dig themselves quietly into the everyday life of their audiences according to the title. As a soundtrack and anchor.
