The Nefertiti Ensemble covers the studio recordings of the Miles Davis' Great Second Quintet, e.g., Nefertiti(1968), Sorcerer(1967), Miles Smiles (1967), featuring compositions by Wayne Shorter and Herbie Hancock. This is perhaps one of the most influential bands of the history of jazz, celebrated for its compositional and conceptual innovation and its improvisational communication.
