About the concert
“a line in my skin” is Karo Lynn’s third album and musically a real evolution to his predecessor “Outgrow”. Between Daughter, Ben Howard and The National, the Leipzig songwriter moves on the eleven songs of ballads in slow motion over pop songs full of musical gems to powerful mid-tempo numbers on new musical terrain – but with the same urgency. The feather-light acoustic guitars and vibrant indie beats of the first album have given way to eternally floating guitar melodies and comfortably dark synth atmospheres – a perfect place for Karo’s dark, expressive voice.
The harmony between the two albums is created by Karo Lynn at her solo shows when she reinterprets her songs once again. The combination of her sensitive lyrics, the atmospheric guitar sounds and the unique voice creates a fascinating intensity that invites compassion.
