DanjaZzy Quartet

The tuba is a real rarity in jazz and can only be found in very few recordings of modern music. Danja Dobromyslov (DanjaZzy) has wanted to break with this tradition since the beginning of his musical career and since then has been researching nine facets and sound spectra of the jazz tuba in order to continue to give the instrument attractiveness and popularity. DanjaZzy, who has researched the tuba in detail through his multi-layered education and work over the last 15 years, uses this expertise to perfectly interpret his compositions on the tuba.

This virtuosic playing gives the original compositions of the DanjaZzy Quartet their unique and fresh sound. This new ensemble composition inspires creativity and enables a diverse interplay of tuba, Flugelhorn, piano, bass and drums. The quartet paints a new and independent musical color in the Berlin jazz scene.
