Take Note - Songwriter Sessions hosted by Marie Kanske / Tini Bot

Take Note – The Songwriter Sessions is a monthly concert series at the Blue Note Dresden and offers singer-songwriters a stage for their own songs, new ideas and intimate live moments. Between folk, indie, Americana and acoustic songwriting, evenings with changing artists, personal stories and a direct atmosphere are created.

The sessions are moderated by Marie-Sophie Kanske (Sea of Love) and are aimed at experienced musicians as well as new voices from the scene. Entrance is free, donations go entirely to the performing artists:innen.

Musicians: Women who want to perform themselves can contact Marie with a short biography, 1-2 photos and links to audio/video material.

The singer/songwriter Tini Bot has a multi-layered repertoire. Her texts focus on political issues as well as a number of personal stories. In recent years she has played several live concerts, including many climate and human rights demos (Seebrücke Dresden, Mission Lifeline, Herz statt Hetze, Fridays For Future) and a gig at the JVA Zeithain. She also played as a supporting act for Tarq Bowen and the 2022 tour of ANSA Sauermann.

Her musical role models are English singer-songwriters such as Patti Smith, PJ Harvey, Nick Cave, Joni Mitchell as well as the German singer-songwriters Rio Reiser, Nina Hagen and Gerhard Gundermann.
