**DD Cassiere: A journey through music, poetry and art**
DD Cassiere, a versatile Italian artist, began his musical career with extensive tours of Italy and released his first album "Multipolar Vol.I" digitally in 2012, which was released on CD in August 2013. The CD sold out quickly and was reissued in February 2014 and January 2019. His second album Supernova was released in digital formats in May 2014. In the same year he collaborated with Aghia Sophia and released the live album "DD Cassiere & Aghia Sophia Live at Radio Wuonz - Rome May 2014", which was recorded during a joint tour in Italy.
In 2017, his fourth album "L'Urlo Di Uccello" was released by Slow-Fi Records, which was already sold out in the first month after the release. In the same year, DD Cassiere launched his "Everybody is an Immigrant Tour", where he traveled more than 4000 km by hitchhiking from Shiraz in Iran to the Czech Republic and performed in over 20 countries. This extraordinary tour earned him the names "The Last Hobo" and "Blues Jezusa", and he took on the role of a modern bardo or a North African griot.
In the following years, Cassiere performed at festivals of different genres, from blues to folk, instrumental to alternative, experimental and avant-garde. In doing so, he crossed cultural and musical boundaries and continued his continuous research on the streets also in the studio. There he worked with Iranian singer Meysam Soltani and produced the track "Shiraz" in support of the "Freedom for Iran" movement. He also reinterpreted the Balkan piece "Do Te Shkrihem Te Venitem" by the historical Albanian band Fisnikët.
In 2022, DD Cassiere launched his instrumental project “Bile Bear”, which consists of primitive guitar music, played on a resonator guitar that conjures up a nostalgic and at the same time feverish Mediterranean spirit. "Bile Bear" received worldwide praise and recognition from respected members of the underground community of American primitivists, including Buck Curran, Jeffrey Davison of Radio WFMU New York and Radio CKUT Montreal, as well as from several independent European radio stations.
In addition to his musical work, Cassiere is also the author of poems and short stories and runs the blog "Naked Songs", where he shares thoughts on his songwriting process and creativity. Some of his poems were published in 2005 by Cerabona Editore as part of the Carlo Levi Prize, other works appeared in the independent journal LiqMag, and in 2021 his short story "Hungry Ghost" was published in the experimental journal "Eye Foreign Eye" from Singapore.
Cassiere is also the artist behind most of the paintings of the Sardas Man Studios art collective, shaping the visual aspect of his music himself, including animations, art installations, field shots, AI-generated images, and 8mm restorations. His video clip "Bile Bear - Marù" was included in the selection of PON Inr, which is committed to raising awareness and protecting aquatic and marine life.
DD Cassiere is an artist who knows how to combine different forms of creative expression while creating a unique atmosphere both musically and visually.
