About the concert
The Nico Weber Kwartett is a progressive jazz ensemble, for which the band’s namesake, trumpeter and hornist composes his own pieces. In his works, tradition is interwoven with experimental ideas, which are made to sound through the rhythm section with Maxim Burtsev on piano, Jakob Jäger on double bass and Leo Ebert on drums. Together, the four impress with their own pure sound. Now Nico Weber presents with his Kwartett their joint debut album Ela, which goes into depth.
