Take Note - Songwriter Sessions hosted by Marie Kanske / Flora Falls

Take Note – The Songwriter Sessions is a monthly concert series at the Blue Note Dresden and offers singer-songwriters a stage for their own songs, new ideas and intimate live moments. Between folk, indie, Americana and acoustic songwriting, evenings with changing artists, personal stories and a direct atmosphere are created.

The sessions are moderated by Marie-Sophie Kanske (Sea of Love) and are aimed at experienced musicians as well as new voices from the scene. Entrance is free, donations go entirely to the performing artists:innen.

Musicians: Women who want to perform themselves can contact Marie with a short biography, 1-2 photos and links to audio/video material.

Their songs shine in a new light and remind us of Beth Gibbons (ex-Portishead) or Sufjan Stevens. - Radio Eins, Germany

Brea and Dom’s musical journey began under the vibrant Berlin sky, where fate brought them together at an Open Stage in 2019. After admiring each other’s solo work as singer-songwriters, they scheduled a songwriting session and took their first steps to becoming Flora Falls. Since then, this dynamic duo has embarked on an inspiring quest to discover their unique sound, releasing their second EP 'Hidden From You' in May 2023 which was featured on Radio Eins, Der Kultur Blog and FLUX FM.

Touring extensively through Europe, the duo were also invited to join Folk Road Show and The Bland as support on their 2023 European tours and opened for Ondara at his Berlin concert. Their music is an intimate embrace, revealing deep emotions, sometimes with a refreshing touch of humor, and inviting listeners on a voyage of vulnerability and authenticity. Flora Falls are now beginning to release a string of singles from their debut album which will be released in the Autumn of 2025.
