Guido Spannocchi Quartet

Guido Spannocchi, sax Radim Pridal, guit Mina Franzke, bass Max Plattner, drums

GS: The Vienna-born saxophonist and flutist studied jazz saxophone and classical flute at the Conservatory of Vienna as well as musicology at the University of Vienna and the Université Paris VIII. After stations in Vienna and Paris, he has been living and working in London since 2011.

Since 2017, he has focused on his own compositions, which he regularly publishes on his label (audioguido.bandcamp.com).

As a sideman and in workshop contexts, he worked with Joe Zawinul, Bobby McFerrin, Tricky, Dele Sosimi, DasPop, Orphy Robinson, Nigel Price, Jessica Lauren, Maria-Chiara Argirò, Tony Kofi, Vladimir Kostadinovic, Tom Ollendorff, Jay Phelps, Rosie Turton and numerous other musicians from jazz, electronics and world music.

In the interdisciplinary field, he has been involved in projects such as Nando Messias’ The Sissy Progress, Mas Production Lady Vendredi, Artful Badger, Impulstanz and Pilot Tanz.
