About the concert

Take Note – The Songwriter Sessions is a monthly concert series at the Blue Note Dresden and offers singer-songwriters a stage for their own songs, new ideas and intimate live moments. Between folk, indie, Americana and acoustic songwriting, evenings with changing artists, personal stories and a direct atmosphere are created.

The sessions are moderated by Marie-Sophie Kanske (Sea of Love) and are aimed at experienced musicians as well as new voices from the scene. Entrance is free, donations go entirely to the performing artists:innen.

Musicians: Women who want to perform themselves can contact Marie with a short biography, 1-2 photos and links to audio/video material.

Matthias Peuker, founder of the Top Dog Brass Band and Triple Trouble, known as Trommler Peuker, builder of the iconic drumsOnite - suitcase drums, Oberlausitzer, Dresdner, has toured the clubs and festivals in Europe for over 30 years and has been singing to the drums for 20 years. Now he dares to perform as a soloist, looper, multi-instrumentalist and singer in front of an audience ... and he can not stop himself from dancing ... OMG ... an extremely charming and strange musical virtuosity played on a specially invented machine as well as squash sticks, minikeyboards etc.

His music is still funky. Own songs and selected covers are dragged through the machines and micros via live looping and performed extraordinarily, celebrated and celebrated with the audience. In addition, Peuker not only shows openly and bluntly what his art stands for, but also clearly what it is against. In this sense ... Not a millimeter to the right!
