Sandman Project

Sandman Project is an ensemble led by guitarist and composer Tal Sandman, which creates a distinctive, purely instrumental sound with a characteristic mix of Afrobeat, Ethio-Jazz, Funk, Soul, Psychedelia and Mediterranean influences.

The band has performed at international festivals in India, England and the Middle East and gained international attention in 2018 with the EP “Royal Family”, including airplay on BBC Radio. The debut album “Where Did You Go?” (Batov Records/K7 Music) is a multi-layered work that combines African rhythms, Indian ragas, soul-jazzy trumpets, cinematic soundscapes and the nostalgia of the 1990s.

The compositions combine organic grooves with global musical influences into a dense, atmospheric sound image that transcends cultural boundaries and presents a contemporary, cosmopolitan musical language.
