Kelly Green Trio

Kelly Green Trio

Kelly Green is an American pianist, singer and composer who enjoys international recognition as a Steinway artist. Her music combines deeply felt personal experiences with a poetic, precise and at the same time playful sound language. Critics call her one of the most independent voices of her generation in jazz, which “redraws the contours of the genre” (Paris-Move).

Renowned for her ability to self-accompaniment, Green presents complex, text-oriented arrangements of jazz standards and original compositions as well as innovative instrumental works. Her repertoire ranges from her own material to classics by Duke Ellington and Blossom Dearie to works by Mulgrew Miller, encompassing different eras and styles.

Green has released four albums so far; their fifth, Corner of My Dreams, will be released in August 2025. Her work has been recognized by artists such as Christian McBride and media such as Paris-Move as extraordinary and trend-setting. In 2025 she received the Jazz Roads Touring Grant for her outstanding live qualities.

As a performer, she performed with music greats such as Rich Perry, Steve Wilson, Scott Robinson, Christian McBride, George Coleman and Billy Hart. She has appeared on international stages and festivals, including The Kennedy Center, Dizzy’s Club, Birdland and the DC Jazz Festival, and regularly fills concert halls. Even in large halls, she manages to create an intimate atmosphere and directly involve her audience in her musical narrative worlds.
