Marius Zeeberg Trio
The Marius Zeeberg Trio brings together musicians from the jazz and improvisational scenes of Copenhagen and Stockholm. The sound of the ensemble is modern and free, inspired by Bill Dixon and Ornette Coleman, among others. While the beginnings were more tradition-oriented, the group has developed its own approach: spontaneous improvisations create pieces reminiscent of jazz standards without using existing templates. The trio combines swing with free improvisation – accessible to a wide audience and at the same time demanding for experienced jazz listeners.
In 2024, the album Garage Sale was released, recorded with four additional winds from Stockholm. The recording combines energetic free jazz, grooved passages and sensitive wind arrangements and was positively highlighted by the trade press.
Marius Zeeberg (DK, Saxophon) is also a sideman with Petr Balhars Hejno (CZ/SK/DK) and Liam Elions Almost Free! (IL/SE/DK) active. He regularly works with influential musicians from the European scene such as Kasper Tranberg, Per “Texas” Johansson and Jonas Kullhammar.
With the quartet FLEN he won the second prize at the Getxo Jazz Competition in 2024.Nils Agnas (SE, drums) recently released his third album Köper Sig Ur En Kris on Moserobie Records, which found international recognition.Olle Lannér Risenfors (SE, double bass) is one of the most sought-after bassists in Stockholm and is currently preparing his debut album as a bandleader.
