Irma Neumüller & Seth Sjöström

Irma Neumüller & Seth Sjöström are two Swedish musicians and composers who met through their shared passion for jazz and improvisation. Their duo combines different musical roots into a distinctive soundscape: their own compositions stand alongside newly interpreted jazz standards as well as selected Swedish folk and pop songs. This creates an intimate, yet multifaceted atmosphere in which subtle nuances and spontaneous musical dialogues characterize the character.

Her music combines elements from the traditional jazz language with influences from the contemporary Nordic jazz scene and the sonic colours of Swedish folk music. This mix creates an open, lyrical expression that leaves room for improvisation while being deeply rooted in cultural roots.

In recent years, Irma and Seth have worked in numerous projects and formations, both in Sweden and in other parts of northern Europe. Through this versatility and their continuous presence on stages of the Nordic jazz scene, both have established themselves as profiled voices – musicians who perform with sensitivity, technical maturity and an unmistakable personal style.
