Ramiro Olaciregui New Trio
The Argentine guitarist Ramiro Olaciregui, active in Berlin for years, presents on Friday, 30. January 2026, his new trio with Max Leiss (bass) and Julian Fau (drums) in the Blue Note Dresden. The ensemble combines contemporary and traditional jazz in trio format and integrates elements of rock and pop, always anchored in the idiomatic context of improvised music.
Olaciregui studied at the Berklee College of Music in Boston (BA 2006) and subsequently lived in New York, where he worked with Jimmy Heath, Bob Mintzer, George Garzone and Seamus Blake, among others. His debut album The Remains was produced during this time. In 2022 he completed a master’s degree in Jazz Arrangement & Composition at the Jazz Institute Berlin and has been a staple of the Berlin jazz scene ever since.
As a bandleader and sideman, he has guested at numerous international festivals, including the IAJE Festival New York, Mira Jazz Fest (Argentina), Ecuador Jazz Fest, Jazz a la Calle (Uruguay), Jazzopen Stuttgart and the Regensburg Jazz Weekend. In addition to his new trio, Olaciregui leads the jazz fusion band TONIC (debut album 2026), the World Citizen Band and his great ensemble ROJO (Ramiro Olaciregui Jazz Orchestra).
