About the concert

Dance in the quadrilateral: between jazz and artpop, doubt and self-reflection.

“I know who I am/ I don’t need to discuss that,” sings Nora Lyn Glove on the single “Thoughtchange, Not Change” by the band Lyn&TheFingers. The young Leipzig group unmistakably transforms this uncompromising, at the same time searching-chaotic attitude into their music.

In 2025, they released their first EP, toured all over Germany, played at the “Jiangsu International Jazz Festival” in China and won the Leipzig Jazz Junior Prize of the Marion Ermer Foundation.

The jury’s statement stated: Lyn & The Fingers convince with personality, openness and freshness. The band around the singer and composer Nora Lyn glove is an excellent example of the creative potential of the young Leipzig scene. Her interpretations of well-known songs combine the immediacy of pop with the improvisational quality of jazz. Of particular note are the own compositions and arrangements of Nora Lyn glove, which are worked out together in a collective process.

In them, the band stages musical stories in a diverse, genre-open way – with intelligent lyrics that negotiate the being of a young generation and surprising stylistic turns that organically give space for solo play and interaction. The focus is on the thrilling energy and authenticity of the singer Nora Lyn glove. Her creative and risk-taking singing shows great artistic potential.

A concert by Lyn&TheFingers is a journey where you can listen to stories, walk through a wide variety of emotions and give yourself one or the other grooving rhythms to dance.
