About the concert
Tim Scherer Berlin//Amsterdam
The train takes almost six hours - if on plan - from Berlin to Amsterdam, two metropolises of European jazz. And yet they are close enough to build bridges. Tim Scherer, a Berlin-based pianist, has set out to launch a project across this bridge.
Three young, creative and skilled musicians from the different but equally inspiring scenes meet in the new trio. The result is “greater than the sum of its parts”. Tim also puts a new program on stage that challenges both the synergistic and the impulsive qualities of his fellow musicians.
For the occasion, Tim Scherer brings a new program to the stage, which underlines both the synergistic and the impulsive qualities of his fellow musicians. The point of view of music is larger than Berlin-Amsterdam, it is more a soul search in the basic - the process of one's own uprooting and the question of the right place to beat it again.
