About the concert
Oliver Herlitzka is a guitarist with influences from jazz and rock who has been active in the North German jazz scene for many years. His quintet is characterised by its energetic interaction and its thrilling live performances. Between Edges is the latest album that impressively demonstrates the versatility and skill of the ensemble. The compositions take the listeners on a journey that ranges from sensitive melodies to pulsating rhythms, always carried by the unmistakable sound of the ensemble.
It was important to us to create an album that would give us musical freedom in our playing and just be fun, says Oliver Herlitzka. “With ‘Between Edges’ we hope to build a bridge between different music worlds.”
