Take Note - Songwriter Sessions hosted by Marie Kanske / aNNika

Take Note – The Songwriter Sessions is a monthly concert series at the Blue Note Dresden and offers singer-songwriters a stage for their own songs, new ideas and intimate live moments. Between folk, indie, Americana and acoustic songwriting, evenings with changing artists, personal stories and a direct atmosphere are created.

The sessions are moderated by Marie-Sophie Kanske (Sea of Love) and are aimed at experienced musicians as well as new voices from the scene. Entrance is free, donations go entirely to the performing artists:innen.

Musicians: Women who want to perform themselves can contact Marie with a short biography, 1-2 photos and links to audio/video material.

In her current programme, the Viennese musician aNNika combines various sound and voice colours with various instruments and a wide range of emotions.

Roughly distorted electric guitars Sounds, emotional vocal passages, lyrics that stir up, then calm down again. From vigorous explosive vocals to gentle piano sounds to a shrutibox sound carpet interwoven with polyphonic vocals.

The music and lyrics of the singer-songwriter are inspired and shaped by people and emotions, by everyday situations and travel experiences, by self-doubt, reflection and coping and stand for appreciation, equality and faith in oneself.

Since 2022, aNNika has been playing excerpts from her last album LUV in various formations and gives insight into what has come since then.
