Susi Lotter Quintett

The Susi Lotter Quintet brings together five up-and-coming musicians: inside and outside friends who met at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater München.

Through several years of playing and living together, a deep musical and personal connection has emerged, which forms the foundation of this project.

With music that combines groove, melancholy and contemporary jazz in a personal way, the Susi Lotter Quintet creates an intense and at the same time memorable band sound. The focus is on strong original compositions - carried by a noticeable joy of playing.

The bassist and composer Susi Lotter has already been awarded the BMW Young Artist Jazz Award and the Bavarian Jazz Association’s promotional prize several times.

Together with Pablo Struff (piano), Rei Kondakciu (guitar), Katharina Pfeifer (saxophone) and Jakob Marsmann (drums), she forms a band that impresses with its delicate interaction and sonic versatility.

Emotional, energetic and surprisingly accessible. This makes the Susi Lotter Quintet one of the most exciting projects of a new generation of German jazz musicians.
