ZurHub Ensemble

The ZurHub Ensemble was founded by Ezequiel Hezi Jait and Mattan Klein. The band is dedicated to the performance and composition of their own music, combining Brazilian styles with jazz improvisation and virtuosic interplay. Flutist Mattan Klein and guitarist Ezequiel Hezi Jait have been working together since 2011; the ZurHub ensemble was created in 2017.

The music of ZurHub combines Brazilian rhythms such as choro, samba and bossa nova with jazz harmony and improvisational elements. The performances of the ensemble are appreciated for their energy, creativity and playful precision.

ZurHub members have performed on international stages and festivals, including the Sibiu Jazz Festival (Romania), the Copenhagen Jazz Festival (Denmark) and the International Jazz Festival in Jerusalem. With their projects, they continuously expand the expressive possibilities of Brazilian-influenced jazz and combine traditional influences with contemporary approaches.
