Maria Magdalena

Maria Magdalena is the solo project of the Austrian musician, composer and multi-instrumentalist Tobias Pöcksteiner. After numerous years in a wide variety of bands and music projects, he created his own artistic space with Maria Magdalena, in which he consciously detached himself from stylistic expectations and market mechanisms. The music moves between indie, singer-songwriter and experimental pop sounds and combines catchy melodies with an open, personal form language.

In the long term, intended as a band project, the songs are created from an intuitive songwriting process that places atmosphere and emotion above fixed genre boundaries.
