About the concert
Pipe Dreams - the modern jazz rock trio. Together, the band met at the Hochschule für Musik in Leipzig. The sound of the three friends cannot be categorized clearly. There will be music to be heard, rooted in progressive rock fragments and distinct swing. In some places, music is made collectively over an 11/4 bar in deep arpeggias and advertised lines. Elsewhere, the mode is loud tugs on and backbeat.
A three-piece jazz band with a rock attitude. Original compositions, and covers by Jeff Beck, Kurt Rosenwinkel, Pat Metheny,... The name Pipe Dreams is meant to reflect a cool attitude and delicate sounds.
