The Blue Forty Five

With The Blue Forty Five, Berlin harmonica virtuoso Adam Sikora presents his new band and a passionate homage to the original country blues. Rooted in the music of the American South, the quartet combines traditional play styles with its own songs and contemporary interpretations.

The focus is on Sikora’s extraordinary harmonica game. Internationally known for his virtuosic mastery of country blues, he takes up the characteristic techniques of legendary blues musicians such as Sonny Terry and Billy Bizor and develops his own unique style.

Together with guitar, bass and drums, an earthy, rhythmically captivating sound is created that captures the raw originality of the early blues as well as its timeless liveliness.
