Robert Carl Blank manages to enchant a mass of more than 1000 people with his guitar and voice alone so that everyone feels so special that he sings only for him personally. Blank’s songs tell of love, longing, freedom and adventure.

After working with two bands on three EPs and one album, he decided to take his solo career into his hands in 2008. This decision was followed by six albums in own production.

Here Robert Carl Blank shows the full range of his skills. Sometimes gently with a shot of melancholy, sometimes drifting stormy he moves in the waters of folk, soul and blues. His love for the USA can no more be ignored than his, now, Hamburgerschlag. Performances in the opening programme of Elton John, Whitney Houston and Eros Ramazotti as well as a tour in the USA with Blues alt-master Carl Weathersby made the guitarist and singer quickly matured musically.

He wrote songs about his travels through the world, about his impressions and experiences on travel and as a singing traveling falcon. Long driven by the longing for change, he traveled the world with guitar and parachute - his songs: A travel diary.

After all these years on the road, he feels he has arrived today, arrived in his adopted home Hamburg, arrived in his destiny as a singer, but also as a producer in his own production facility “Songwerft” in Hamburg.

And despite the fixed center of life and the tasks as a producer for other artists, this curiosity for life and the desire for change remains.

Now singer-songwriter Robert Carl Blank has reinvented himself once again and released his first album in German. "About right here" will be released in March/April 2024.
