Horn5

HORN5 is a project of five Dresden musicians. The mixed a-capella-blower section (tp, tp, ts/ss, tb, bars/as) plays alongside some pieces specially written for this ensemble (Mathis Nicolaus and others) mainly arrangements of the US-American trombonist Michael B. Nelson. Stylistically, this moves somewhere between jazz and funk. Refined arrangements, funky grooves, improvised solos, harmoniously rich jazz ballads...

Composition:

• Dave Hobeck - trumpet/wing horn
• Christian Rien - trumpet/wing horn
• Christoph Hermann - Trumpet
• Michal Skulski - Tenor-/Sopransax
• Tomasz Skulski - Bari-/Altsax
