Pulse, energy, freedom. Always in view of common musical values, Caesar / Caesar / Theodor combines a constant urge for development. In the collaborative process, the trio creates a sound, blunt and courageous on the one hand, yet catchy, without falling into clichés.

Thomas Hähnlein (saxophone), Christian Müller (double bass) and Clemens Lotz (drums), who originally met in Amsterdam, draw inspiration from both the American jazz tradition and the lively Berlin music scene, which they now call home. In a very natural way, these influences lead to the dissolution of boundaries. And so singable melodies meet free improvisation, blues fragments meet complex rhythmic structures.
