About the concert

An event within the framework of the humor zone

25 Songs from 25 Years Like Tom Sawyer to attend his own funeral: this is what most people fail to do. Stage artists fulfill this eerie dream by honoring the sites of their former work with a Best of program in time for the burn out. From the depths of biography, relative successes are brought together. A little, but not too much different is the case with Sebastian Krämer, who has really not made more of his life so far than writing songs and singing ...

It cannot be denied that he has been on the stage for at least 25 years (a rough estimate). And before he comes up with something new, which drives the extent of the previously grown work into the finally unmanageable, he seizes the opportunity to exploit the magic of this half-round number in advertising technology and to design a few evenings only with a selection of old and even older songs without a thematic-programmatic arc. Strictly speaking, it is not a best of, rather it is simply some 25 songs from some 25 years from the work of Sebastian Krämer.

A stage party is not to be feared in the man so soon, but perhaps a farewell to most of these songs, which from now on others are to sing.

Sebastian Krämer was born in 1975 in East Westphalia, where he started his stage career as a student. Today, the Chansonnier lives in Berlin and, according to stilbruch, the cultural magazine of RBB television, is »the greatest small artist in Germany«.

In his twenty-five-year career, he won almost everything there is to bring for a chansonnier and word artist in German-speaking countries: among others, the German Kleinkunstpreis, the German Kabarettpreis and the German Championship in Poetry Slam. 2017 was followed by the Franco-German Chanson Prize, as well as the German Music Authors Prize of GEMA.

Kurt Krömer came out as a fan: “Nobody spits his chansons so much with morbidity, charm and above all with backward-footed humor class A.” Comedian Oliver Polak could hardly hide his sympathy: “The most blatant living songwriter there is, and... a genius!”
