Anna Tsombanis Trio

The young Berlin tenor saxophonist Anna Tsombanis moved to Vienna for her master’s degree at the “Music and Arts Private University of the City of Vienna”. In the local jazz scene she met the Swiss bassist Andreas Waelti and the Austrian drummer Valentin Duit.

An explosive mixture of spontaneous communication and energetic play was immediately created, in which the roots of traditional jazz can still be heard clearly. In addition to performances at the Marianne Mendt Jazz Festival, and the radio session at the Kunst Sonntag on Ö1, the trio has already been heard on the floor at the Shortcuts Festival and the saxophonist is also active in other formations, such as with the Bundesjazzorchester Deutschland (Bujazzo) and musicians of the Viennese jazz scene such as Oliver Kent, Roman Schwaller, Mario Gonzi and many more.

The original compositions of the saxophonist are played.
