Tobias Altripp Trio

Before the pianist Tobias Altripp moved to Mannheim in 2016, he grew up in Greifswald for 16 years and took his first musical steps there. Between 2012 and 2016, a large number of compositions were created, some of which would soon disappear into a drawer again for years. “Too traditional,” was the diagnosis at the time. At the beginning of 2019, the Tobias Altripp Trio formed in Mannheim, whose line-up seemed very suitable for playing in such styles.

So, according to the motto "Back to the roots", these compositions were brought out of the drawer again, arranged, recorded professionally and released a little later on the debut album of the trio "Experimental Blues". With this album in its luggage, the trio is now on the road and presents a concert programme in which the recently released original compositions blend with jazz standards and standard-like pieces of each colour.
