Poems For Jamiro

POEMS FOR JAMIRO combine electronics with poetry, violence with fragility, art with closeness and intimacy. Great melodies, atmospheric synth sounds and two voices that sound like one; this is the sound of the duo, which was founded in 2014 in Hamburg.
Since then, Nina and Laila have played numerous concerts in northern Europe, guested at the Elbphilharmonie, opened for artists such as Kat Frankie, the gardener and the tree or Lina Maly.
With their filigree two voices and an unbridled joy of sound experimentation, they are always on a new look for moments that touch. Inspired are her songs of self-perceived stories and her own or other people’s views outside the box; snapshots of a society that is overtaking itself.
With their most recent singles HEARTBEAT, WHITE NOISE and CHANGE, POEMS FOR JAMIRO break away from the tremendous, atmospheric sound that shaped the previous album HUMAN. They open up an intimate, complex, always danceable sound world, which never loses its urgency.
