About the concert
The See See Riders are a young quartet dedicated to American Roots Music. With violin, double bass and resonator guitars, the See See Riders take you on a musical expedition that you not only through the muddy wastelands of the Mississippi River, where musicians such as Charley Patton and others once shaped the blues, but also to New Orleans, South Carolina and Louisville Kentucky, where ragtime, swing and the Jug Bands shaped the roots music. In this way, the young musicians embody a diversity, but embedded in modern arrangements still do justice to the roots.
To Armano's striking voice and swinging guitar, to Stephan's groovy bass runs, which really do not let one foot stand still, Bekki, with virtuosic Ge-Fiddle á la Clifford Hayes, and Benjamin with singing slide play of a Tampa Red, complete the sound picture. The pieces are rounded off by polyphonic vocals, which revives a warm folk character.
