About the concert
Guitarist Jakub Racek and mandolinist Zdenek Jahoda are well-known in the European bluegrass scene. They have received multiple accolades from the Czech Bluegrass Association, each was individually awarded ‘Best in European Bluegrass’ for their respective instruments by SPBGMA USA in 1998, and they have both been invited to perform in the USA several times.
The duo plays a virtuoso blend of blues, bluegrass, swing, and ‘dawg’ music – reminiscent of Doc Watson and David Grisman – both instrumental and including vocals.
