About the concert
Carl Gustav Jung understood anima, a part of the soul that conveys contents of the collective unconscious to consciousness. It can appear as a personified form in dreams, visions and fantasies, and by itself unfold favorable and unfavorable, bright and dark, good and evil effects.
These impulsive expressions of human ambivalence, abstract forms and a tendency towards the unexplained, the young jazz quintet packs into diffuse atmospheres, driving rhythms and emotional melodies. The music creates a sound space of dreamlike form, by merging timeless myths and fragile moments of improvisation.
The unusual combination of trumpet (Joel Ferrando), guitar (Lorenz Glöckner), vibraphone (Arthur Clees), double bass (Simon Kuban) and drums (Samuel Dietze) offers a wide range of sound colors of the modern jazz world.
