Trio Dorado

Since the end of 2012, Carlos Dorado has the special pleasure of playing and performing with his eldest son -Lucas-in the duo.To this duo comes the younger son -Dalmiro-, who on his saxophone with great enthusiasm and talent emulated his father and big brother.The music of this original trio -Father and his two sons- moves between jazz and the traditional music of Argentina with his own compositions and few newly arranged jazz pieces.Already active and well known in the Biel region for more than 20 years, the guitarist and composer Carlos Dorado created his own style by mixing Argentine music and various other South American rhythms with jazz elements.

He works with many different (string) moods that expand the spectrum of the classical guitar and create new timbres and harmonies.Lucas Dorado got to know and play Latin American rhythms from a young child through his father. Later, he studied drums and percussion at the Conservatory of Biel and then finally concentrated fully on the vibraphone.After further studies at the Jazzschule Biel and Hochschule Lausanne (HEMU), he received a scholarship (Fritz Gerber Foundation) in 2015 for his bachelor's degree in jazz vibraphone at the University of the Arts Berlin with Prof.

David Friedman. At the moment he is perfecting his education with a master’s degree in Copenhagen, Paris and Berlin.Dalmiro Dorado has been interested in music since his earliest childhood and studied trumpet first. Since 2019, he has been concentrating on playing saxophone and taking lessons with Pascal Hammel and Tomas Sauter at the Jazzschule Biel.
