Niklas Lukassen’s "Our House Is On Fire”

• Niklas Lukassen (bass)
• Béla Meinberg (piano)
• Marc Michel (drums)

Niklas Lukassen's "Our House Is On Fire" reflects his personal journey to the capital of jazz, New York, and processes an emotionally charged and versatile program that deals with current topics such as the global pandemic in poetic form. The ensemble draws its creativity from the joint interaction at the moment and draws inspiration from contemporary jazz with rock elements. A striking characteristic of Niklas Lukassen’s independent artistic voice is his natural affinity for the unbundled bass guitar, as well as his pelectrum-played interludes on the double bass.

As a millennial, Lukassen’s equally lyrical playing on both basses guarantees a special concert experience.
