Tobias Altripp Trio feat. Gabriel Rosenbach & Marc Doffey

The trio around the pianist Tobias Altripp can now look back on almost three eventful years. After its founding in March 2019, some gigs in Mannheim, Frankfurt and the surrounding area, the debut album “Experimental Blues” was recorded in January 2020. Plans for a release tour or similar fell victim to the shortly afterwards onset of the Corona pandemic. But the motivation to develop further was not slowed down by the difficult time. In October 2020, a concert programme was staged in which the trio presents Berlin trumpet player Gabriel Rosenbach as guest musician.

In January 2022, the band went into the studio and brought the saxophonist Marc Doffey on board as another guest. The resulting new album of the Trio + Guests is currently still in the final stages of completion, but this does not speak against playing the music live, which is why one can justifiably speak of a kind of “pre-premiere” at this concert.
