About the concert
lucid is the trio of the Hamburg guitarist Niklas Werk. With influences from Ambrose Akinmusire to Aphex Twin, from Jakob Bro to Paul Motian, the guitarist’s own compositions create contemporary jazz. Nostalgic sonic spheres meet filigree chamber music interplay, rocky grooves meet lyrical melodies. Together with Lucas Kolbe (b) and Bastian Menz (dr), the trio combines electronic and acoustic elements to realize their vision of a multi-layered yet tangible sound world.
