Lisa Wilhelm Quartett

Euphoria meets melancholy. An intermezzo of two moods that could not be more different. And this is precisely why it offers an interesting, musical field of tension for the LiWQ.

Together with Lukas Wögler on the tenor saxophone, Moritz Langmaier on the piano and Franz Blumenthal on the double bass, the drummer Lisa Wilhelm creates with her own compositions a musical melange of excitement and melancholy.

The result is a melody-oriented jazz that does not focus on the eponymous drummer, but rather on harmonious and lyrical ideas. The musicians met at the Stuttgart University of Music, where they started working on their very own sound years ago.

In the coming year, they will release their debut album with seven original compositions under the title “Potpourri – quoted not stolen”.
