Welcome to Blue Note Dresden
Live Music, Whiskies & Bar Culture Since 1997
Blue Note has been part of Dresden’s Neustadt since 1997. A small club, a well-stocked bar and a stage close to the audience. Come for a concert, stay for a drink – or just drop in for a beer.
Bar Culture
Around 100 whiskies, classic cocktails and our own recipes, a changing wine selection and good beers. We serve what we enjoy drinking ourselves.
There’s music even when no band is playing. Our bartenders choose it themselves. Everyone brings their own taste, so the soundtrack changes with the person behind the bar.
The bar stays open after the concert. You’re welcome to stay.
Small room, big sound.
Live Music
Over 300 concerts a year: jazz, blues and roots, along with funk, soul and music in between. International musicians, local bands and young ensembles all play here.
Find upcoming concerts and admission details under Events.
Donation-Based Admission
Most of our concerts are donation-based, with no fixed ticket price. Instead, we recommend a voluntary contribution of around €10 per person.
The idea is simple: those who have less give less, while those who can afford more are welcome to support live music with a little extra.
Donations are collected during the break after the first set or at the end of the concert.
Opening Hours & Age Policy
We're open daily from 7 PM. Concerts usually start at 8 PM.
Our venue is generally open to guests aged 18 and over. Younger guests may attend concerts accompanied by an adult, subject to prior arrangement. Please contact us by email in advance.
Minimum consumption during concerts: one drink per person.
