Andreas Scotty Böttcher & Michał Skulski

Andreas Scotty Böttcher & Michał Skulski

Improvisation is like entering an old wild garden for the first time and thus the most adventurous form of music-making ever. Nothing is planned, fixed or even meticulously practiced at home. Improvisation is composition and interpretation in time unit and personal union. Improvisation is a constant communication with the space and atmosphere created by the presence of the audience. Improvisation is the attempt to convey in spontaneous expression feelings and movements that one has experienced in the course of life or carries within oneself as a vision. In the interplay of Michał Skulski on the saxophones and Andreas Scotty Böttcher on the piano, a duo concerto is to be created from the impromptus of today, which will never be repeated, because every improvisational concerto is naturally a premiere.
