Code MD

Code MD

Code MD is dedicated to the electrical, radio-imprinted late phase of Miles Davis. The Dresdner Projekt was founded in 1987 by musicians from the environment of Dekadance and has since developed the bluesy, powerful sound of this era in changing line-ups. The focus is on the years shaped by synthesizers, funk and strong grooves and the collaboration of Miles Davis with musicians and producers such as Marcus Miller – with classics such as Tutu, Amandla or We Want Miles as musical reference points. Code MD does not see itself as a pure tribute band: the pieces are transferred into today with their own handwriting and a lot of space for improvisation.

Jens „Bügge“ Bürger – Saxophon
Lars Kutschke - guitar
Andreas Gundlach – Keyboards
Tom Götze - Bass
Sven Helbig - drums
