Die Groove Merchants sind Lucas Kemmler (Git, HH) und Sebastian Sprotte (Sax, DD). Sie sind ein dynamisches Duo aus dem hohen Norden mit vielen Kilometern auf dem musikalischen Tacho. Aufgewachsen in Schleswig-Holstein haben sie sich im dortigen LandesJugendJazzOrchester kennengelernt und spielen jetzt in mehreren Projekten zusammen. Das Duo wird von den Hamburger Jazz-Studenten Timon Krämer (Bass) und Bastian Menz (Drums) zum Quartett erweitert.
Die vier Musiker widmen sich dem mit ihrem aktuellen Programm der Musik von Micheal Brecker, Bob Berg als auch Mike Stern und stellen ihre eigenen Kompositionen vor.
