Michel Schroeder Quintett

Michel Schroeder Quintett

The musicians of the Michel Schroeder quintet met at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater Hamburg. After very different individual careers, they come together here in the classical line-up of a jazz quintet and play compositions by the trumpeter Michel Schroeder, who grew up in Lübeck. In the course of his studies he began to compose for various ensembles and compositions. His interest is to expand the boundaries of the traditional and experiment with different sound bodies. Tonight he returns with his quintet to jazz in one of his most original forms, but here he also finds his own tone. You will experience five sought-after and renowned young musicians from the North German jazz scene.

Line-up :
Michel Schroeder – Trompete, Komposition
Lasse Golz – Tenorsax
Béla Meinberg – Piano
Christian Müller – Bass
Leon Saleh – Drums
