Weidt & Sladek „Ella & Louis“

Weidt & Sladek "Ella & Louis"
When Ella Fitzgerald and Louis Armstrong released their first duo album “Ella & Louis”, they set a milestone for jazz singing. Singer Karoline Weidt and Kilian Sladek on trumpet and vocals interpret the biggest hits à la “Moonlight in Vermont” and “Tenderly” in the original arrangements from 1956. They are accompanied by the young star of the traditional jazz scene Theodor Kollross on the piano.
„Mit ihr hat die (…) Jazzszene unlängst einen erfreulichen Neuzugang bekommen: […] Karoline Weidt gehört aktuell sicher zu den vielversprechendsten Sängerinnen.“ (Süddeutsche Zeitung, Oliver Hochkeppel, 06.01.2022)
Talent has no doubts anyway, who hears ‘Syllabulism’. After that, only the wish remains to be able to experience Sladek’s great feeling for moods, increases, rhythms and interplay live again soon. (Süddeutsche Zeitung, Oliver Hochkeppel, 24.01.2021)
