Bernd Begemann, co-inventor of the Hamburg School, most style-conscious music canddler in the Hanseatic city, underappreciated guitarist and unrivalled stage entertainer, has returned. To claim what he is rightfully entitled to. “A short list of demands” celebrates pop as an event: Great songs, with a large ensemble in the large hall of Bremen’s Studio Nord directly on classical tape. Without metronome, because it would only have stood in the way. Without Autotune, because it was not necessary. The great praise Bernd receives for his new album can be transferred one-on-one to his concerts. He always plays for two to three hours. Singing. Narrated. Excited.
