Amelie Scheffels Quartett
The Amelie Scheffels Quartet is an up-and-coming jazz band from Munich founded by Amelie Scheffels. Amelie is currently in the last semester of her jazz singing studies at the University of Munich and has put together the band with Jakob Jäger on bass, Sebastian Pfeifer on piano and Daniel Scheffels on drums as part of her studies.
The quartet specializes in its own compositions, but also plays arranged standards. Amelie attaches particular importance to warm sounds and innovative sounds, which are reflected in the music of the quartet. Among other things, the band experiments with effect devices on the piano and the vocoder.
The music of the Amelie Scheffel quartet is characterized by a mixture of traditional jazz and modern influences. The compositions are characterized by a clear structure and strong melodic lines, while the improvisations of the musicians leave room for creative development.
In the local jazz scene of Munich, the Amelie Scheffels Quartet has already caused a stir and has gained a growing fan base. The band is regularly heard in various jazz clubs and festivals, always proving their skill and passion for music.
