Max Petersen Trio

Max Petersen Trio

Max Petersen – Piano
Kolja Legde – Kontrabass
Fabian Arends – drums

Max Petersen is a German-Australian composer and pianist living in Switzerland. His works, rooted in Modern Jazz and Black Music, form a confluence with contemporary Western art music. This is highlighted on his recent album release LiberA (2021), in which a rhythm group, chamber music, electronics and voice indicate a post-genre tone. Max works with artists from different disciplines, including dance, animation and multimedia. He studied music at conservatories in Zurich, Basel, Lugano and New York and today works as a performer, composer, educator and researcher.
